Please tell us when and under what conditions any federal judge will actually IMPOSE contempt and send the federal marshalls to arrest both the lawyers and Chump himself and let them sit in jail?

I am wondering that myself. These rulings are great but I feel that it needs more teeth since Dump ignores them.

Precisely. We used to live in a U.S. that relied on voluntary compliance with most laws and regulations with no need to have the enforcement police on standby for each and every law. That's why law and regulations beyond-proliferated in Calif and a few other states, but we are the worst here. The volumes of cases and laws takes up way too many bookshelves in our legal libraries! However we no longer live in that kind of country. Nothing sticks to No. 47 unless he is compelled to comply. I've never seen the likes in my 82 yrs and it is appalling. For years I've seen this coming and been for "no new law, regulations, or ridiculous "policy" pronouncement without a stand-by auditing staff and enforcement lawyers who ACT. So far the federal courts are venturing slowly out to state the truth of legal violations -- but none so far feel they have sufficient cause, or don't have courage yet, or both, to send out the federal marshalls. Other countries do it but not here...so far. Laws and law-passers are becoming, or are, superfluous under No. 47. I'm for not passing one more law unless and until No. 47 and his sycophant lawyers go to jail/fed prison for contempt.

Governmental immunity is not 100% and for all time. It is limited. 've learned the Supreme's immunity decision was limited to criminal immunity. A court can impose either criminal or civil contempt. And there are a few (tough) exceptions to the extremely vague criminal liability immunity case. I'll bet an aggressive, clever lawyer can figure out how to attack it. For example, I could argue that chump willy nilly sending legal immigrants to El Salvador in violation of due process is NOT part of his "core" or "peripheral duties". What could be more of a "core" duty than to obey the Constitution? Did he not swear to do so hand or hand not on the Bible? I doubt that his fingers crossed behind his back would fly as a valid defense, but in this Supreme Court, one never knows...

Had to laugh at your comment. Have you noticed that the notable majority of the bravest politicians and non-elected organizers speaking up and out, tend to be women?

The Supreme Court needs to start backing up the federal judges and the constitution. Unfortunately, the federal marshals fall under a department run by one of DT’s cabinet and won’t act.

"Judge Boasberg also has the power to appoint a special prosecutor to pursue criminal contempt charges and to sidestep Bondi, a Trump loyalist who was appointed by the president.... the president does not have the power to issue pardons for civil liability (civil contempt" See: https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cg72d3zpj9xo. Yes we now have that blessed Supremes decision granting the President immunity for "official acts" even if they are criminal. (Jackson's dissent is magnificent as to how wrong this decision is~). However, I note that civil contempt is NOT included in that decision (the judges can use civil contempt against both the lawyers and No. 47), and anyway under that immunity from criminal prosecution decision, the government can rebut the presumption of immunity for official acts by proving that a prosecution would not unduly intrude on the executive branch's authority and functions. (How No. 47 could be deemed to be "acting within his official powers" to totally ignore due process and ship legal immigrants in this country - or any immigrant -- off to El Salvador is a far stretch for any Supreme if you ask me, but we know which way they are tipping precipitously toward, don't we?) If criminal contempt is sought, let's pray some brave US attorney will take this task on and then another and another when it comes to the horrific way 47 has shattered due process which it comes to renditioning immigrants, legal and otherwise. For now I"ll settle for civil contempt imposed, and poste haste depositing the passle of them in jail until they comply and bring all the immigrants back for due process.

Judge Xinis needs to jail Noem until Garcia is returned.

Trump clearly said he could just pick up the phone but he doesn’t want to ANS Noem said Garcia will never get back into US.

It’s been 3 weeks and they are Clearly flouting her ruling. She needs to jail Noem for Criminal Contempt.

Thanks Popok, so glad that the federal judges are getting to the ‘end of their proverbial rope’ with this regime, they need to start handing out the contempt of court warrants and enforcing the law. Congress also needs to start backing the courts too! Keep us informed as these cases move forward.
