I really appreciated this. I couldn’t believe Musk bragging about his $3million putting a felon/terrorist leader in power, but see now how horribly this injustice has come to be.

I bet Musk will never admit to fixing the election for 45/47, unless he is on his death bed.

I get the pretense. But is the solicitation of the funds legal? Openly seeking money from contributors from the oval office should be an illegal act.

Seems to me that some of the contributors have settled in legal cases that the fascist in our White House had filed against them.

Subscribed to The Lever for years - it is an absolute must for anyone concerned about the state of American "democracy", how we got to this sorry state of affairs and a beacon of light as to the way out to realize a more humane society. Thank you David, Lisa, and Alex!! This discussion was such a treat to highlight "Master Plan" Bravo!!!

Just subscribed to The Lever. I admit my lack of knowledge around history & present day corruption that shapes both parties, one being much more brazen. I recently signed up to volunteer at Against Citizens United, my very small contribution to raising awareness & stopping big money influence.

Truthfully it is what it is and if course these six Republicans Supreme Court judges are not going to help us because they we're brought. This Felon and All his people should be removed, charged and jailed.

Thank you for hosting David Sirota. I've listened to The Master Plan series twice, taken notes once and now will purchase the book and suggest my library system do the same.

I am ready for a more bold and assertive way to show my disapproval of our political system..I guess I'm just a step ahead. I no longer need to be convinced, but I will continue to spread the word.

“In essence, the Koch brothers have methodically worked to reshape the Supreme Court and the broader legal landscape to align with their libertarian and free-market ideology, utilizing a combination of financial power, strategic litigation, and public relations efforts.”

Ethical Concerns and Calls for Reform:

The Koch network's influence on the Supreme Court has raised ethical concerns, particularly regarding the justices' impartiality and potential conflicts of interest.

Reports have highlighted instances where Justice Clarence Thomas, for example, has accepted gifts and travel from individuals connected to the Koch network, leading to calls for recusal and stricter ethics rules.

These concerns have fueled calls for greater transparency and accountability in the judiciary, including stricter rules around recusals and financial disclosures.

Thank you! I’ve spent the day listening in my car between meetings and appts. It is a lot to digest and highly informative about the abuse of power and corruption from the billionaire oligarchs.

Yes. I feel like the Democratic congresspersons and senators who are constantly sending messages asking for donations are scammers. They aren’t buying prime time TV ads anymore. So, what happens to the money? There is zero accountability.
