I think I'm at the same age of having the “I-don’t-care-anymores”. Thank you for the giving everyone the hope that we do have judges who aren’t afraid of the standing up for the Constitution and “We the People”.

Now we need all the living ex-presidents to step to the front and speak out against Trump.

Ask them, most will probably be honoured to, based on their Inbred Morals, and Commitment to the Constitution.

Yes, this is the time for the older generation, in every field of influence, to step forward to oppose the blatant attacks on the Constitution and moral and ethical values. It is our duty, as long-time citizens who remember what the "rule of law" actually looked like, to "man the barricades" to protect a democratic future for our children and grandchildren. At the "No Kings" protest I attended there was a gratifying number of seniors in their "war paint".

Ye Gods thank you Michael, and thanks to all the judges who cannot and will not be intimidated by this heinous regime and it’s republican enablers.

Thank you, Michael, for such a well written article. At 85 years of age, I am in the “I-don’t-care-anymores.” stage too - as your mother used to call it. Maybe all the joints don’t work too well now but the brain cells do! Thank Goodness for the aptly named Judge Young stepping forward. I read, watch and listen in horror, about what is happening to your country. Legal AF gives me so much hope for your nation. (Brit in Europe).

Thank you for a well written understandable analysis. Yet they continue to do as they please and there are no consequences to stop the abuse. The rule of law needs to be strengthened and backed up.

Bravi! to all of the senior status judges who are standing up for the rule of law, giving the snotty little child Trump a good rap on the knuckles, handing down rulings that protect the freedoms of all those on American soil, and doing so in plain, frank, and blunt language that calls out the racism, bigotry, and autocratic filth of the Trump administration. And Bravo! to you, Popok, for your eloquent, honest, impassioned, and well deserved praise for these judges. These senior status judges have laid out a clear path that all judges should follow in the defense of justice and democracy.

Without a doubt these judges with Wisdom, and on hands performance for so many years have seen and been through lots, in light comparison,

Native Americans honour, listen, and strive to be like their Elders, silent, but speak with Courage and scars from years lived, much like most seniors with Wisdom and life learned lessens over the years. Corruption runs like a Plague, in the some of the Wealthy, Corruption can be found in young or wise as an owl, Morals, Values, Respect, Caring, differentiate between Corruption, and hard working honest Folks.

Love this, Popok! The rule of law matters and this article demonstrates how it is a core element of our democracy.

Hey! tell us more about the Guy Named Gor hiring unvetted Russian employees to work in our Gov, who has not been vetted himself? That seems like it would be a bigger story than anything else going on! He has already hired 4000 Russians & only the New York Post printed a story about it & no one is talking about this?

Yes. They are standing between us and authoritarianism. And doing it admirably. The Supreme Court should be so good. Excellent Mr. Popok.
