200 Million Views, Because of You

Let’s start off this Morning AF with a round of applause. Not self-congratulatory, so to speak, but directed to our audience and to our loyal viewers and Legal AF’ers, because the Legal AF YouTube channel has just crossed the 200 million view milestone. Which is extraordinary for a YouTube channel that didn’t exist before September 16, 2024.

We do 10 new videos a day in order to defend our democracy. But without you and your fervent support, without your loyalty, without you making our, um, our movement part of your journey, this would all be for naught. What that number signals to us is that you are looking for the type of independent legal political commentary that we are providing through our dozen contributors that I curate, through our dozen playlists, through our four separate podcasts.

Sure, we stood on the shoulders of a Legal AF brand that’s been in existence for over five years. But if we didn’t get this type of positive feedback, it would make moving forward — and having a voice and being a stakeholder with a place at the table — difficult. But you make us powerful. And in return, we make our audience powerful. Because the bigger we are as a YouTube channel, the more your voice is heard. Because you’ll be getting the content, and the information, and the analysis that you need, around the kitchen table, in the streets, on social media, as we gird ourselves and prepare ourselves for the midterm elections and protests in the streets.

In defiance of this administration, we may be a group of people that are currently in resistance, but we are not in exile. We are here together, in this community. And what 200 million views says is that we will be heard as a people. We, the citizens, are the most important component of this constitutional republic and democracy, not the current occupant of the White House and his toadies, lackeys, and bootlickers.

And I mean, frankly, when I created the Legal AF YouTube channel in collaboration with the brothers on the MeidasTouch Network, I thought: Wow, if at this moment in time we could be at a couple hundred thousand subscribers and have maybe, you know, 30 or 40 million views, I would be — I would be — over the moon.

But this accomplishment, putting Legal AF, the YouTube podcast, into the top 20 of all YouTube podcasts, is an extraordinary feat.

Right now, we’re number 50 in Apple Pod. We’re top 20 in YouTube rankings. And this channel is now in the top 0.002% of all YouTube channels. Again, an extraordinary accomplishment that we owe all to you. And we are humbled by it and grateful for you being here.

I make this pledge to you on this Morning AF:
We will not rest with 200 million views.
We will not rest with 10 new videos every day.
We will not rest with a dozen contributors.

We will continue to expand and grow this channel, and make you proud of us, and make you proud to say that you are a Legal AF’er.
