Along similar lines, accepting her contention that there were four co-conspirators who were not charged, the prosecutor isn’t required to charge everybody involved. (That may be an unpopular view at the moment, but a decision not to charge can be based on the weight of the evidence against each individual. Or it can be because there’s a legal issue that can’t be overcome. The reason for such decisions is hardly ever made public which in the Epstein affair doesn’t give the public much confidence.) But again, that Maxwell’s co-conspirators walk among us doesn’t make her less guilty. All of this may make her a less objectionable subject of a pardon, but on the basis of Dina Doll’s column, Maxwell’s convictions should stand.

I’d imagine that a grand jury subpoena trumps [pun kinda intended] a NDA. The NDA might prevent the person from volunteering information to the authorities, but once the authorities know the person exists and has information, the NDA is worth as much as yesterday’s newspaper.
